Getting Her Into Skiboarding
November 21, 2005Last winter I was able to experience the best part of skiboarding, skiboarding with my girlfriend. To some this might sound cheesy but I have 5 reasons that support my beliefs and hope to influence other guys to get their girls into it.
1) All girls love to shop, mix that with the sport and you and your girl can be outfitted in the best of everything. Every holiday/anniversary is another excuse for a new jacket, new boards, different bindings ect. And since most girls are good shoppers they will get it for the best price too
2) Bragging rights. Nothing feels better when you can look another guy in the face and say “what? Are you scared? Its just a tabletop, my girlfriend hits this!”.
3) Self Confidence. She can always throw it in her friend’s faces that all they can do is cheerleading; it takes a lot for a girl to go through a terrain park. Life is a lot easier when your girl feels good about herself, now you won’t have to answer that question…”do I look fat in snow pants?”
4)Now if your girl skiboards and cheerleads its still cool because even if you fall on your face 20 times, on number 21 she will still cheer for you to get up and try it again.
5) Guys for the most part will always tell you to go for it (the first 21 times you fell) having the girl around to chime in “you know, work isn’t going to except ‘I broke my arm skiboarding’ as a legitimate excuse” So having the 5 devils (guys) and 1 angel (girlfriend) will probably work out to your advantage once in a while.
For the guys out there that can’t stand their girlfriends AT ALL, bad idea, but for those who can tolerate Laguna beach stories, and the latest on Nick and Jessica Simpson, then I definitely suggest hooking your girl up with a set of boards and hitting the slopes this season.
