Gaspo 07-08

This is the Gaspo line up for 07-08. Gaspo was the manufacturer for Canon skiboards for many years.

This year they have an interesting line up.

The Relief, 85cm long with 14 cm wide tips and the waist at 11 cm, center mounted.

The Butteryfly, which is very similar to Line’s Pro 90 skiboards. 91cm long, 11.8 cm at the tips and 10.3 cm at the waist. Also center mounted.

The Unicorn, which is also very similar to Line’s Pro 98 skiboards. Its 99.9 cm long, 11.6 cm at the tips and 10 cm at the waist. I suspect these are rear mounted.

All these boards have wood cores, extruded bases, cap-construction, tri-axle fiberglass, and are symetrical in design. (Apart from the slight rear mount of the unicorns)

However, for roughly the same price tag, you are probably better off buying some SnowJams with Extreme-II bindings, which have the industry standard 4×4 mounting pattern for bindings.

Exclaim! Skiboards, the UK retailer is now making Riser Plates made to attach releasable bindings to the skiboard industry standard 4×4 insert pattern.

They sell them with Rossignol Axium 100 bindings.

New Latvian Skiboard Co?

It seems the Latvians may be starting their own skiboard brand! Allz Skiboards.

Their first model will be 94cm long, 12.5 cm wide at the tips, 10.5 at the waist. No picture of the graphics yet.
