National Skiboarding Promotion Association

Headquarters of the new Romanian Skiboarding Promotion Association, located in Busteni

While preparing to host the First Skiboard World Cup, the Romanians formed the first ever National Skiboarding Promotion Association.

The board of the new organization include:
- the mayors of Busteni, Predeal, Sinaia and Azuga
- the owners of all Prahova Valley ski slopes
- ski lifts, snow making and grooming equipment owners
- hotel and business owners.

The Prahova Valley (Valea Prahovei) will be the first winter resorts in the world, officially declared and promoted for skiboarding.

World Skiboard Association was also informed that World Cup – Romania 2007, arrangements are on schedule and all operations will be completed by January 15, 2007.

WSA Skiboard World Cup Romania 07

The First Skiboard World Cup will be held in the beautiful and friendly Romania during the Presidents’ Week (Feb 17-25). The event is organized by World Skiboard Association (New York) in cooperation with SBOL, skiboards.com, the Romanian Ski Federation, some Romanian and other organizations.

World Skiboard Association

Looks like someone is giving it another shot at a Skiboard organization. The WSA is attempting to pick up the pieces of the old ISF and WSF. Will their succeed where others have failed?

There is barely any info on their website at the moment, nor any info on who is part of this “association.” www.worldskiboard.com
